Leather Restoration - 1990 Porsche 911 964 - Full interior carpet replacement.

This beautiful Porsche 911 964 has been well cared for mechanically and I have previously restored the leather. However the white carpet was showing its many years of use.

It was decided to replace the white carpet with a custom set provided by Lakewell. A more serviceable blue colour was chosen which also matched the exterior of the car.

The full interior needed to be removed to replace the carpet set. Once stripped out, it was clear the sound deadening material had deteriorated and needed to be replaced. Replacements were purchased from Porsche. All the old glued carpet pieces were removed the body shell cleaned and inspected.

The new carpet set was then fitted in the correct order using specialist high temperature adhesive and the interior fittings re-installed.

I have to say the end result was spectacular, the owner and I were very happy with the result which will last for many years.
